Building Lobby - NYC

As an American video game holding company based in New York City, this private client owns two major publishing labels, which operate internal game development studios. In 2017, they decided to move from their SoHo office to Midtown Manhattan.

In order to ease the employee’s transition from their exposed, raw Soho office to 1133 6th Ave, the design was focused around fusing the creative culture of downtown with the polished sophistication of midtown, exposing architectural elements and complimenting them with curated gallery-like moments.

Upon entry, the lobby features a powerful AV tryptic that displays the latest company content. Concrete panels on the surrounding walls continue the rhythmic linear quality and guide the eye up the escalator to the workspace. This vertical integration is found not only in the lobby but throughout the space in the form of wood, plaster and fabric.

The sophistication of clean, crisp design elements juxtaposed with the exposed columns and concrete panels represent not only the brand but its employees.
