The result is The Forge®, a nearly 22,000-square-foot innovation hub in Washington, DC, purpose-built to help federal agencies bridge the gap between technological possibility and real-world mission outcomes. Designed as a highly personalized experience center, The Forge combines advanced storytelling, interactive environments, and immersive visualization technologies to create a space where innovation becomes tangible.

As a trusted technology partner, Electrosonic led the audiovisual integration strategy for the project, bringing together a world-class team of collaborators to deliver the experience. Through its longstanding partnership with Electrosonic, DETAILED® was selected to provide the direct-view LED solutions that power many of The Forge's most impactful environments.

At the heart of The Forge are two signature spaces designed to transform how information is shared and experienced.

The Hub

The Hub serves as an 800-square-foot immersive digital environment where visitors are surrounded by dynamic content delivered across floor-to-ceiling LED displays. The space functions as a flexible storytelling canvas for presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and collaborative discussions. By replacing traditional presentation formats with immersive visual experiences, The Hub allows federal leaders to engage with ideas in entirely new ways.

To support this environment, DETAILED® supplied ultra-fine pitch 1.2mm LED displays, delivering exceptional image clarity, seamless content reproduction, and the visual precision required for close-viewing applications.

The Control Room

The Control Room was designed as a fully immersive decision-making environment. Featuring 270 degrees of LED visualization surrounding an interactive touch table, the space enables visitors to explore scenario-based experiences driven by real-time data, artificial intelligence, and connected technologies. Complex information is transformed into intuitive visual narratives, helping visitors better understand how emerging technologies can support critical government missions.

Town Square Hall

Serving as a central gathering space within the facility, the Town Square Hall leverages DetaiLED's 1.5mm fine-pitch LED technology to create a visually striking environment capable of supporting presentations, events, and collaborative engagements. The high-resolution display system delivers vibrant imagery and exceptional performance while maintaining the seamless aesthetic required throughout the innovation center.
